5 Design Tips to Make Room for the New Baby
Are you going over designs and wondering how to make room for the new member of the family? Don’t you worry! We’ve got your back. We spoke to our in-house interior design experts and created a list of tips on how to design the perfect nursery for your baby.
#1 Keep it Clutter-Free
You will have to do plenty of strolls to get the baby to sleep and for that, you wouldn’t want to have the room filled and cluttered. Make sure you have enough space to stroll around and enough storage to keep toys and things back instead of having it scattered around.
#2 Have a Night Mode Option
Those nap times for the baby during the day will be precious for you to get chores done or just have some me-time. To make sure these nap times happen during the day you need to design your room in a way to help you fake night time. You can install heavy curtains or black shades to do the job.
#3 Go Bold
Don’t be shy with colours and patterns. Today’s modern designs incorporate bold colours and patterns that help stimulate the baby’s vision. Black and white (especially stripes) have proven to be very useful for the same.
#4 Don’t Forget the Ceiling
As we all know the ceiling is the spot the baby notices or stares at the most, so it’s important to focus there. Use bold colours and patterns as discussed before.
#5 Add an Adult Area
You or the baby-sitter will be spending a lot of time in the nursery so adding an area for yourself will be a good idea. You can either add a comfortable sofa or a daybed.
