Bajaj Platina 100ES

  • Claimed mileage: 96.9kmpl
  • Approximate starting price: ₹42,650 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
  • Displacement: 102cc, 4-stroke single-cylinder, air-cooled

One of Bajaj’s bestsellers, the Platina ES is extremely fuel-efficient and stylish. Its SNS (Spring in Spring Suspension) technology makes riding a breeze, even in the most difficult road conditions. The motor features the company’s DTS-i twin-spark which makes fuel combustion so efficient that it generates 8.2 Ps power, leading to its remarkable mileage. The bike also claims to have the highest ground clearance in the category (190mm).

Bajaj CT100

  • Claimed mileage: 89.5kmpl
  • Approximate starting price: ₹35,600 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
  • Displacement: 99.2cc, 4-stroke single-cylinder, air-cooled

A popular choice, the Bajaj CT100 now has electric start, a new decal design, a fuel gauge and flexible side indicators. This bike also comes with SNS.

TVS Sport

With a tagline like ‘Mileage Ka Baap’, The TVS Sport impressed with great fuel economy and a sporty look.  The DuraLife engine comes with Roller Cam Follower Technology which reduces friction and ensures that engine runs smoothly and has a longer life.

Hero Splendor Pro

  • Claimed mileage: 90kmpl (Pro)
  • Approximate starting price: ₹53,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
  • Displacement: 97.2cc, 4-stroke single-cylinder, air-cooled

The Splendor Pro always features on top of Hero’s sales charts. The classic version is as reliable and fuel-efficient as before with a mileage of 90kmpl and top speed of about 87 kmph. The newer version (Pro Classic) has slight variations that give it more power (93.21) but was discontinued earlier this year.

Hero HF Deluxe Range

  • Claimed mileage: 88.5kmpl
  • Approximate starting price: ₹42,830 (ex-showroom, Delhi)
  • Displacement: 97.2cc, 4-stroke single-cylinder, air-cooled

The HF Deluxe, HF Deluxe i3S and HF Deluxe Eco all have the same 97.2cc engine. It is considered as the more affordable Splendor minus a few features.

Hero Splendor iSMART

Another fuel efficient bike on the road is the Hero Splendor iSmart but the older 100cc version was discontinued and replaced by the impressive iSmart 110. It works on a unique i3S technology that automatically turns off the engine whenever the bike is idle and turns it back on when required. The iSMART would have been the most fuel efficient bike with a mileage of 102.5 kmpl.
