Priyanka Chopra’s Secret Diet Plan Revealed!
Priyanka Chopra sure is a busy bee. Not only is she one of the most popular celebrities in India, she’s also becoming a household name in America and has a global fan following. She is the ambassador for numerous brands and was also named UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador. With managing so many different projects and constantly being on the move, you’d wonder where she got the time to stay so fit. Well, Priyanka has admitted that she’s not a gym freak and doesn’t starve herself either. Instead, she has a simple and practical diet plan which consists of the following:
Nuts and Coconuts
Priyanka says that she has a glass of coconut water and a handful of nuts every two hours. By doing this, not only are you consuming something healthy, but you’re also not letting yourself go hungry. Eating something small every few hours keeps the metabolism rate going and helps you stay energized.
PeeCee believes that small, spaced out meals are the key to staying fit and healthy. She has two egg whites for breakfast or sometimes oatmeal with skimmed milk. For lunch she has dal, vegetables, two chapattis and a salad. She has a light evening snack that’s usually a sprout salad or a turkey sandwich. Dinner is mostly soup with grilled chicken or fish with sautéed veggies. Priyanka loves ghar ka khaana and eats well – like a Punjabi kudi (her words not ours). She also doesn’t have too much of fried or oily foods.
Clean and Green
She makes sure that her daily diet includes lots of green leafy vegetables and fruits – giving her the essential proteins and nutrients. Priyanka also stresses on the importance of drinking an adequate amount of water and says that’s the reason for her glowing skin.
Priyanka is not fussy about food and loves anything from aloo paranthas to pepperoni pizza. She doesn’t believe in fighting your cravings or giving up your favourite food. In fact, she always binges on her favourite foods during the weekend. This includes cakes, chocolates and tandoori food. She was even challenged by Jimmy Fallon (on his show) to a chicken wing-eating competition – and she won!
Extra Tip: Workout Routine
Apart from her diet plan, Priyanka maintains her body and builds strength through a disciplined lifestyle, yoga and a little bit of gym time. Priyanka follows a simple daily workout routine to stay toned. Her normal exercises include reverse crunches, seat hops and bicep twists. She is not too fond of weight training and prefers resistance training. One thing she never forgets to do is yoga -especially breathing exercises because they help her relax. She likes outdoor activities like jogging, walking and roller-blading that are fun and help burn calories.
